Our July 27, 2024, Gwinnett Woodworkers Association Demonstration will be provided by Tom Biehl. Tom’s demonstration topic will be “Turning a Three-Piece Vase”. The Three-Piece Vase is a decorative turning suitable for display in any home or environment. The wood selection for this piece is important for the look of your vase. For instance, Bradford Pear would be fairly bland. Whereas a nice Ambrosia Maple piece highlights the natural beauty of the wood. The vase has a body, a top and a stand. Contrasting woods for the body and the top and stand create a pleasing visual look. The options for wood and the shape of the vase are many. Tom will include many of the vases he has turned for display at the demonstration.
