This is one of the GWA's premier events of the year. Members are encouraged to bring in one or more items they made from an 8 foot construction grade 2x4 stud (Southern Yellow Pine). The entries can be sliced,diced, and glued back together as long as you can convince the judges that there is no more than a single 2x4 stud's worth of wood in there. Up to 15% of additional non wood material (like glass, metal, or plastic) can be used to complete the functionality of the finished piece. Time runs out in a hurry so it might be time to get started.
