Sketchup Basics - converting the model to wood.

For the past month, a subset of the Sketchup SIG has been working on creating templates and parts for the Glancey bench.

This has pointed out the need to be able to derive dimensions (particularly angular dimensions) from an existing model.  This is especially important when the model you are working with doesn't have "shop drawings" or a "cut list".

Tuesday's meeting will be dedicated to deriving shop drawings and cut lists using the Glancey bench as an example of how to convert a Sketchup model to the "real thing."

Location Rob Austin Shop (1157 Fountain Glen Ct., Lawrenceville, GA)
