Bob Brokaw will make this presentation themed around diagnosing noise in the back end of the Dewalt 788 scroll saw.
The next steps will include opening the case to pinpoint the cause(es) of the noise.
To effect a repair, the vertical rocker assembly will need to be removed. He has come up with a method to remove the vertical rocker and linkages without having to also remove the entire upper arm.
Close to half of the noises in the back end of the saw can be solved by re-securing the hardware with blue locktite.
