Turning an awl is an easy, simple project for any turner and they make excellent gifts - not only for woodturners, but flat workers and anyone with a toolbox! Mike Peace will demonstrate how to turn an awl handle, add texturing to make it a bit more elegant and explain the benefits of a birdcage awl grind.
