This class will be dedicated to training people that will be working the GWA booth at the WoodWorking Show that starts on March 15-17. There will be trainers present to explain how to participate in the demonstration activities. Past participants in "working the booth" in years past have derived a great deal of satisfaction from the event.
GWA uses the event as a recruiting tool to expose show attendees to what the club does and the fellowship afforded by the talent in the club. The activities we perform at the show are taking pictures of show attendees and making a scroll saw tray puzzle as a keepsake. We also turn tops, snow men, and other small items to give to attendees. We also have 4 show and tell tables that attendees will have questions about. People working this area will act as docents to answer questions from attendees.
This year we are adding a display about our Canes For Heroes activity. We need docents to explain this activity and explain that it is a crowd funded campaign for the benefit of veterans.
