This class will be primarily an in person and hands on class at Rob Austin's shop. (Zoom will be available for those that can't make it in person.) The theme for this class will be wild birds of Georgia and how to attract them to your property. The class will begin with a local area guest lecturer that will describe the species of birds that you might encounter in this area and what their needs are for food and habitat. Next, Ian will build a bluebird nesting box from rough sawn cedar pickets and discuss its construction and features. After the class, the group will take part in building bluebird houses for Gwinnett County. If you plan to attend in person, please drop Rob Austin a note so he has an idea of what supplies will be needed. |
