What’s next for our meetngs? Well Jim Otey and Buzz Adams will present the Ring Master.
If you are not familiar, the ring master is an alternatve bowl turning tool.
The difference between the Ring Master and traditonal bowl turning is that the Ring Master will allow you to create a bowl from a board. Yep, from a board.
There are two types of Ring Masters (besides the Circus type). One is self- contained.
Jim and Buzz will be presentng the one mounted on a lathe. (If we can fnd a lathe at Rob’s.)
(No Circus clowns will be used in this performance.)

Below is a brief synopsis of what Jim and Buzz will present.
They plan on doing a few cuts to demonstrate the sofware and settings.

Using prepared ingredients, they will use some prepared rings so they can show how the cuts will stack .
They will also demo the sanding and gluing steps using some homemade jigs and will have a few fnished bowls including a different use for making a lamp shade.
I am excited to see this presentaton. Perhaps then I can use my machine.
