Rob Austin will lead this short presentation on how to create a simple tray puzzle from a photograph. This method is what is used in the GWA booth at the Wood Working Show to produce puzzles for the attendees.
The presentation will be followed by a workshop to teach class members how to cut tray puzzles. We need volunteers to work the GWA booth to cut these puzzles and fellowship with member scrollers. After this workshop, you should be a pro. You will also be able to hang out at the Woodworking Show with Steve Good who will be in the booth helping with the picture puzzles.
Turners: We are planning to turn "Pens for Veterans" in the booth. This will involve turners that will teach veterans how to turn their own pen. The veteran will walk away with a pen that they turned themselves. We are looking for volunteer turners for this effort. Today's workshop will include a "teach the teacher" session on pen turning.
The workshop will include teaching volunteers how to turn tops as give aways to show attendees.
