All members are encouraged to bring a birdhouse to enter in the contest. It can be fancy or it can be plain. It can be complicated or it can be simple. It can be made on any tool (or combination of tools) including a lathe, a table saw, a band saw or (knowing some of our members) a scroll saw. Each person who enters a bird house in the competition will be asked to describe the construction process and answer questions about their entry. Each entrant will also be entered in a raffle for a $25 gift certificate to Peachtree Woodworking. Finally, at the end of the meeting, there will be a secret ballot vote and someone will be able to brag that they won the "Best GWA Birdhouse" award! Gerry Jones give us a presentation on how to build the optimal birdhouse.
